Parody / Satire Highlighter for X/Twitter
Summary
This extension does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data outside of your own browser. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no external servers.
What the extension does
The extension runs only on x.com and twitter.com. On those pages
it inspects the API responses that your browser already receives from X/Twitter so it can
identify accounts marked as parody or satire, and highlight the author's display name on
each post you see.
Data collected
- None sent anywhere. The extension makes no outgoing requests of its own and does not send data to any third party.
-
Local-only settings. Any custom usernames and keywords you enter on the
options page are stored using Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage.syncAPI, which syncs only to your own Google account across your signed-in Chrome instances. The author of this extension cannot read them.
Permissions used
-
storage: to save your custom usernames and keyword settings across sessions. -
Host access to
x.comandtwitter.com: to read each tweet's author information in the DOM and in the API responses your browser already receives, so the extension can highlight parody and satire accounts on those pages.
Children's privacy
The extension is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Material changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
